It’s That Simple

In my research and studies I discovered an interesting thing about getting organized and being productive. While your physical space certainly contributes to chaos you feel, often there are more influential issues causing lack of productivity. I discovered that self-defeating behavior had more to do with lack of productivity than the physical environment.

Does perfectionism and procrastination affect your organizing efforts?

Interestingly it was in this discovery that I truly realized my passion. I struggle with the anxiety, stress and lack of productivity caused by perfectionism and procrastination. It is now my mission to study the effects of these and other behaviors that cause people so much despair.

My office and home are very organized and rarely is anything out of place. This is necessary for me to function. If anything is out of place, whether I can actually see it or not, I can’t function and have to correct the situation before moving forward with work or relaxation. This perfectionism is something I have had to deal with and learn how to use it to my advantage rather than allowing it to stop me dead in my tracks.

Can you relate with how I was allowing perfectionism to hold me back?

Over the years I have realized that what goes on in the mind is much more important to breakthrough than physical space issues. The physical space just supports you in your endeavors. It will eventually work itself out as you work out the self-defeating behaviors that are standing in your way.

Does that make sense?

After years of living with procrastination and perfectionism I decided that I wanted to change. It was in that one simple decision that I transformed from a life of mental chaos to a life of clarity and sanity.

And that’s why I believe anyone can become organized, and live a life of clarity, focus, and direction. I did it myself and have helped countless people, from the professional to the home owner, become organized. Being organized is a mindset. And all it takes is a decision.
